Eight Out of 50 Ain't Bad!

NewCity's 2018 edition of the Lit 50 recently came out, and we noticed that eight past Tuesday Funk readers are on the list.

Daniel Kraus (#2)

Daniel last read in August 2015.

"I hardly ever do readings .... but last time I did it, it was fine." We'll take that endorsement!

Jonathan Eig (#4)

The author and journalist graced our stage in December 2014.

Aleksandar Hemon (#16)

The MacArthur Genius Grant recipient read with us in September 2013.

Megan Stielstra (#23)

Megan read in November 2016, and asked that we not record because the piece she read was pending publication. But we can tell you, it was excellent!

Lori Rader-Day (#27)

Lori most recently read with us in June 2017.

Jac Jemc (#28)

Jac Jemc has read at Tuesday Funk several times, including December 2014.

Gina Frangello (#29)

Gina was with us in February 2013.

Juan Martinez (#40)

Juan read an excerpt from his book Best Worst American in June 2017.

And he will be at Tuesday Funk again on Sept. 4!

Come see once and future Lit 50 members in the intimate upstairs lounge the first Tuesday of every month. Check the website regularly and follow us on Facebook and Twitter for updates on upoming shows.
