Meet the Readers: Jennifer Schaefer

Jennifer Schaefer is a Skokie-based writer whose credits include: North American Review, Chicago Tribune, Maudlin House, Tabula Rasa Review, Barstow and Grand, Curbside Splendor, anthologies from Akashic Books and Tortoise Books and more, including an Honorable Mention from Glimmer Train.

As a former actress, she loves the live lit scene, a recent highlight being the popular storytelling show, “You’re Being Ridiculous” at Steppenwolf Theatre. She currently seeks publication of two novels, while working on a third. When she’s not reading or writing, Jennifer likes to go thrifting with her daughters and daydream about opening a roller rink.
