June 2026 Debrief

The 171st edition of Tuesday Funk had its share of both frivolity and seriousness. Cohost Andrew Huff got things started in the upstairs lounge at Hopleaf with a story about his experience going off to college and landing in a dorm not so suited to his needs. Then Anca Szilágyi read a short story about a rough family vacation. Next, Joy Wright told a story about a tense night waiting for her mother's ex-boyfriend to come home.

We took a break to refill our glasses, and then Mary Lorenz told a story about how her attitude in a toxic work environment changed once an opportunity to leave presented itself. Last but not least, Jitesh Jaggi read a powerful piece about how America has changed the goalposts for inclusion over the years.
