Meet the Readers: Maggie Queeney

Maggie Queeney is a writer, visual artist, and educator. She is the author of In Kind, selected by Brenda Shaughnessy as the winner of the 2022 Iowa Poetry Prize, and a poetry chapbook, settler, selected by Shane McCrae in the Baltic Writing Residency Chapbook Contest, republished by Tupelo Press in 2021. Queeney’s recent honors include the Stanley Kunitz Memorial Prize, the Ruth Stone Scholarship, and two Individual Artist Project Grants from the City of Chicago. Her poems, prose, and hybrid works have appeared in The Kenyon Review, the Missouri Review, Guernica, and Hayden’s Ferry Review, among others.
